The Fruit Brothers story began in a little but much loved fruit shop in Beaumont Street Hamilton NSW.
Bobby the owner of the award winning, Hamilton Fruit Market took pride in sourcing and buying Newcastle’s freshest Aussie produce for locals around the Hunter. His customer base grew rapidly as people soon got wind that this young local man was not only a Fruitologist that loved to chat but also one that was kind, extremely knowledgeable and had a genuine love of fresh fruit & veg.
Daniel could see that this little shop could be something even bigger and together the boys had a dream of building an empire. A conversation around the dinner table of wanting to do more sparked the beginning of a new venture and a new relationship for the boys that extended from being brother-in-laws and best mates to business partners. This is where the story of Fruit Brothers began.
Fruit Brothers was officially established in 2013. The online delivery service first started out the back of the small fruit market in Hamilton but soon the shop became too small for Fruit Brothers’ quick growth. The boys saw that people loved the convenience of online home delivery therefore they made the decision to close the shop front and move to a much larger location with state of the art facilities and machinery. This further then developed to more advanced technology including the development of the wholesale ordering app and most recently the transition to the new website.
The growth of Fruit Brothers has been built from sacrifice, customer service, hard work, and a love for what they do. They are always looking for new and innovative ideas to keep them a step above the rest. Every order delivered from Fruit Brothers is packed with love and passion.
The growth of Fruit Brothers has allowed the team to expand. Fruit Brothers now have a large team who help deliver the freshest Aussie produce throughout the Hunter, Port Stephens and surrounds.

Bobby’s the man behind the produce at Fruit Brothers. With his 20 years of experience in the fruit and veg industry, make him the best in the business when it comes to selecting and buying only the freshest produce from suppliers. Bobby is all about market knowledge, drive and enthusiasm. He runs the day to day logistics behind the market run, communicating with growers and ensuring all customers receive their produce in optimum condition. Bobby’s sense of humour in a fast paced industry has helped him make great connections with customers, growers and has helped drive Fruit Brothers recent expansion.
Dan takes a very hands-on approach when running the day to day operations of Fruit Brothers. This involves packing orders, overlooking produce that leaves the warehouse and organising day to day delivery runs. He believes in providing the best service possible for all wholesale and home customers. Dan is all about organisation, consistency and going above and beyond for our customers – some may even call him a perfectionist. Dan is always looking to push forward and stay above the rest, his passionate approach & technological skills have been an integral part in the Fruit Brothers expansion. Dan’s friendly and cheeky personality makes him popular amongst both customers and suppliers.
Pietro is the workhorse at Fruit Brothers. He does a variety of jobs including loading and unloading produce off & on trucks, quality control and managing all functions of stock and equipment. The organised, neat and tidy appearance of the Fruit Brothers warehouse are all a result of Pietro’s work ethic and perhaps where his son Daniel gets his organisation skills from.
George has been in the industry for a long time and enjoys working alongside his son Bobby. He has great knowledge of the produce and plays a role in the maintenance of stock and handling items.
Glenn plays a large part in our wholesale packing team. He goes above and beyond to ensure our restaurants receive all produce in optimum condition. His wealth of knowledge in the fruit & veg industry has helped him play a vital role at Fruit Brothers.
Dorksy joins our team with a great deal of attention to detail and prides himself with a great work ethic. His knowledge is second to none in how to operate in a Local family business. He has a great character and has fit in very well at Fruit Brothers HQ
Ryan plays large part of our wholesale packaging crew. He contributes greatly to the day to day Fruit Brothers operations. He is also one of our Port Stephens delivery drivers, where he is muched loved by all customers with his confident approach.
